‘A fabulous weekend at The Langham’ hotel in London!
Friday 16th March
We checked in at leisure on the Friday afternoon which was lovely, as we don’t usually get to see much of our hotel rooms on FAM trips.
Later on that evening after unpacking and relaxing, we all met in the beautiful conservatory for pre-dinner drinks and an exquisite supper! Followed by a fun quiz which was based around our general knowledge of London. Everyone in the group were great, and we were also accompanied by Small Car Big Cityand Avenue Events. We then headed to The Wigmore for scrummy cocktails which is perfectly located just off Regents Street.
Saturday 17th March
Saturday was the day that we were really looking forward too... zipping around London in a retro mini in convoy was great! We felt like celebrities…
People were cheering, taking photos and waving at us as we drove past! Such a great idea for group’s that are looking for something a little different. It was also great to learn a bit more about the City that we visit so often but know little about.
First stop was ‘Leake Street’(also known as the Banksy tunnel) where we were dazzled by the creativity inside the arches!
Next stop was a surprise visit at ‘Mr Fogg’s Tavern’ where we experienced their gin safari! ‘Wow’ do they have some gins….the very knowledgeable guy doing the tasting really got into it and it was lovely to taste some of the best gin’s around in such an epic space. Mr Fogg’s has such great character and charm.
It was then time to head back to The Langham for lunch. We were lucky to bring plus one’s to this trip, so it was good to go back and have lunch as a group.
The rest of the afternoon and evening were ours for free time, followed by checking out at our own leisure on the Sunday.
The Langham really did pull out all of the stops for us! The hotel is beautiful, and the staff both charismatic and charming. I hope to visit again soon!
Thanks for having us
