If you’re planning some exhibition activity in the near future, you’ll be pleased to know that the August In 2 Events newsletter has some fantastic hints, tips and a case study to help with your preparation.
In this issue we’re talking about effective ways to incorporate technology into your stand design, top tips to get more out of your exhibition stands and what Loyd Grossman sauces have been up to on a recent road show.
Effective ways to incorporate technology into your stand design
The use of technology throughout your stand can really create that ‘wow’ factor, but it’s also important that there is a purpose behind it to allow people to engage with your product in a way that encourages further interest.
In 2 Events have recently created a bespoke exhibition stand for a software company. The stand needed to communicate 4 different product areas, so it made sense to use these as a focal point. Using a giant screen split into four zones that showed feed generated from four interactive units, visitors could immerse themselves into the different products. The 4 products could be explored individually, whilst creating a great impact when they were brought together.
5 top tips to get more out of your exhibition stands
- Technology advice
Enlist the help of experts to ensure that you make good use of technology on your stand, whether it’s lighting, screens or interacting, you don’t want to overdo it and there may be a really effective way that you can reach your audience that you haven’t thought about.
- Flexibility
If you’re looking for the most cost-effective stand that you can use at numerous road shows and exhibitions, you may want to consider a modular stand. These can be built as large or as small as you like and can be transported from venue to venue with ease. These are usually medium sized stands and create a space for people to walk into and talk to the hosts – this allows you to create more of an environment too!
- Bespoke
Bespoke stands usually offer the best quality and an excellent return on investment. This is because a unique customer experience can be created to allow audiences to engage directly with products and services. As users travel through the stand messages can be conveyed in more interesting formats.
- Collecting prospects data
To maximise your return on investment, ensure you have the facility to capture data easily, allowing you to communicate effectively after the event.
- Post event support and reports
Measuring your return will involve analysis of the data collected from the event along with sales generated, this will help guide your next exhibition and highlight any areas that could be improved.
Reach the heart of your target audience
Loyd Grossman sauces have recently completed a successful road show, which involved taking their product directly to their target market – professionals with limited free time.
In 2 Events created a full concept to reach the heart of this target market with a stand that could be used in the busiest train station concourses in the country; Birmingham, Brighton, London and Manchester.
The unit needed to be collapsible, exude the quality associated with the product and have functionality to enable staff to heat sauces and serve samples to the public.
The road show was a great success, the public could engage with the product and a greater awareness of the brand was created. Over 100,000 sauces were sampled with pieces of ciabatta in 16 days and the public could take jars of their favourites home with them.
In 2 Events post event support and reporting reflected the clear success, which has led to a similar project being planned for next year!
