In 2 Events were recently invited to attend a Familirisation trip to Norwary by the Norway Convention Bureau. Not one for missing out on a golden opportunity, Account Manager Justine Lightly volunteered to represent the i2e team.
This was going to be a Fam trip with a difference, not all champagne and cocktails! The Norway Convention Bureau wanted to make the most of having the UK's leading event agencies for four days!
The group would be tasked to put together an International Sales Conference for 500 people. This was all part of the criteria that had to be met for the M&IT Norway Interactive Challenge.
This was a tense affair and not for the faint-hearted, making presentations on stage to the Norweigan panel which included a corporate event organiser and a respected destination management company. The presentation would also be staged in a 5,000 seater auditorium, just to add to the nerves!
All presentations went off without a hitch and in the words of Norway Convention Bureau's Manager Bente Bratland Holm, "I have never seen our country presented so well, I have never seen our destinations researched so carefully and packaged with such imagination. All the presentations were brilliant!"
In 2 Events encourage all staff to make full use of the benefits available within the industry to pass on experiences and knowledge to all clients.
Gavin Farley, Director of In 2 Events commented, " Trips like this are not only a great way of making new contacts within the industry, and developing product knowledge, but what better way is there for us to sell and promote a destination or venue if we've had a fantastic hands on experience".
