1. Plan your budget and set achievable targets, it may take some time to convert every opportunity you create at the exhibition, so ensure that every lead is followed up. 

2. Take advantage of PR before the exhibition. The exhibition organisers should be able to offer you lots of opportunities.  

3. Ensure that you have experienced and confident staff on hand that are used to engaging directly with the end user. Your prospective customers want to feel welcomed and invited to engage in your product and be offered product knowledge.

4. Collect data for every visitor that you have to your stand to maximise your return. They may not be interested in making a purchase immediately, but keeping in contact until they convert is essential.

5. Create targets and incentives for your stand staff to ensure that they collect as much data as possible, create sales and give away samples or extra information.
