Dragon Boat Team Day
Brief
Jagex are one of the world’s leading online gaming companies and In 2 Events are pleased to be associated with them. We worked with Jagex to come up with a new event concept to bring the entire company together. The business has a strong emphasis on fun, interaction and people. We need to bring all of these elements together and deliver an event that would reflect the company ethos.
Solution
Working closely with internal operation and marketing personnel, In 2 Events developed the Jagex Dragon Boat event day. It was a full day’s activities for over 600 members of staff from different divisions within the business. All teams were pre-selected and the aim was to ‘mix and match’ staff so that everyone got to know everyone, this worked really well. There was a strong competition element during the day with first prize being a nice dragon shaped trophy for someone’s mantle piece! Throughout the day there was a range of catering outlets onsite including a pizza palace, Ice Cream factory and hot dog stool. Also onsite was a range of inflatable’s, dodgems, laser quest and other interactive games to keep all the staff occupied when not competing on the water. In 2 Events managed the event from concept to completion and where onsite throughout to take part in a great event.
Result
An amazing team event! The event managed communicate a corporate message to over 600 staff but without sitting in front of a projector all day and in a blacked out meeting room. Plans for 2011 have already started and the brief is basically, ‘top that then’!
