In 2 Events becoming tree happy

The In 2 Events woodland is starting to look more like a forest, following the planting of over 100 trees from EcoBuild 2012. The success of our ‘In 2 the Woods‘ project has really helped us begin to stamp out the effects our industry has on the environment. Our plan is for another 100 by the end of the year….watch this space!

Plus this the start of our new regular feature….’Where’s Hollie?’ Each week we will post a new image and just like the popular books ‘Where’s Wally?’ just locate Hollie.Easy as Peas!

Now that’s some conference!!

I read an interesting article today in M&IT that a US government agency spent $820,000 of public money on a three day conference (party) in Las Vegas. That sounds like my kind of conference, was thinking of shipping the guys out to Hawaii for a week for end of financial year….or maybe that was Bognor…..hmmmm!!

100 days to go to the biggest event of the year

The countdown is on to the biggest event of the calender as today marks 100 days until the opening ceremony of the London 2012 olympic games. Up and down the country events have been taken place to mark the occasion, we at In 2 Events were particularly impressed with this awesome sandcastle down in Weymouth. I think we are in for an entertaining summer ahead…

In 2 Events are holding their annual tree planting event in Oxford on the 16th March 2012 in association with In 2 The Woods and Climate Week.

Rib Adventure on the Solent for Salty the Reindeer

Meet Salty the Reindeer! For some reason this seems to be In 2 Events’ new mascot so decided that a rib ride over to the needles is what he needed to make him feel part of the team. A great day out started at Careys Manor and then out from Lymington Marina over to Saltys’ in Yarmouth for some amazing cod and chips! The team then experienced a rather bumpy return journey back in to Lymington for a drink at the Haven. A great day out and something that any company should consider for a team building event, and very cost effective at that…

Making an event out of the ordinary!

I was shown this advert online earlier this morning by a colleague of mine;

Brilliant, well done VW! This video not only made me smile but made me think, it’s still only a staircase and still serves the same purpose of getting people from top to bottom or vice versa. I then thought to myself that this is very similar to organising an event in many ways. What I mean by this is that an event is always an event but it’s what you do differently at that event that makes it work! I guess that’s what we do, we see the same as everyone else but differently….
